Families and Teens

I enjoy working with children, teens, and parents, through both individual sessions and family sessions. I see the family unit as a system, with each person playing an important role.

In family counseling, we hold space for each person to be seen, heard, and held. We talk about the patterns that are showing up and explore ways to let them shift. With children, we can process grief, anger, and anxiety, and teach social-emotional skills. With teens, we incorporate identity exploration and meaning-making, and learn how balance belonging and individuality. With parents, we can reflect on our own upbringing and the ways we bring our life experiences into our parenting and families, talk about different parenting approaches, and figure out what works best for your family.

If your’re stuck in power struggles, constant fighting with no resolutions, emotional outbursts, or disconnection, counseling can be a soft landing for you and your family.
